Today, we visit the town of Bucchianico and a centuries old olive oil press. Your host Francesca will explain the finer points of extra virgin olive oil production then delight your taste buds with her oil and wine and samples of traditional Abruzzese cuisine. Later, you take a walking tour of the beautiful town of Pretoro. 6 hours. Comfortable shoes. Moderate mobility.
In the morning, we take a drive through our wine region with stops at a couple small villages to see the sites. Lunch at a small family run winery and a private tasting in our cantina with a local winemaker before dinner.
Today we head to the city of Pescara on the Adriatic Coast to sample regional specialties in the morning. After, we take a drive down the Adriatic Coast and stop for a glass of bubbly in a beach town.
Attend a local market with our chef in the morning and pick out the things you would like to cook and eat that night. Lunch on the food trucks and visit a winery for a tasting on the way home.
Spend the day with our wonderful guide Serena and her family in her village of Pietranico. See their houses and farms. Learn how to make ricotta cheese and traditional pasta with chickpea soup.. After lunch, see the ancient and mysterious wine rocks scattered around the village. 7 hours. Easy mobility.
Today we visit a winery in the morning and then drive into the mountains for a beautiful picnic beside a gorgeous mountain lake. Home early for a rest for your good-bye dinner in our wine cellar.
